ActionPlan templates capture the actions, checklists and cost-area groupings that make up a recurring deliverable — then apply them to any job in a couple of clicks.
When to use a template
- You deliver the same kind of engagement repeatedly.
- You want juniors to start with a proven structure.
- You want reporting comparable across similar jobs.
Create a template
- Go to Planning → ActionPlan → Templates.
- Click New template and name it.
- Add template actions — title, default assignee role, priority, estimated minutes, day offset from job start for the due date.
- Optionally add checklist steps under an action.
- Group actions into cost area groups.
- Save and activate — only active templates appear in the picker.
Apply to a job
- Open the job's ActionPlan tab.
- Click Apply template, choose the template, confirm start date.
- Actions are created with offset due dates and assignees resolved from role mapping.
Manage templates
- Duplicate to start a new template from an existing one.
- Deactivate to hide without deleting history.
- Templates are versioned; applied jobs keep the version they were created from.
