Learn how to use Ask Sam to get instant answers to your questions. This helps you work faster without leaving the app to search for help.
Ask Sam is an AI assistant built into AtomicSam. You can ask it questions in normal language to learn how to use a feature or to find specific information in your organization, like a client's contact details or a list of open jobs.
Before you start
- All staff members can use Ask Sam.
- Ask Sam respects existing permissions. A staff member can only see information they already have access to.
Access Ask Sam
- Locate the main navigation bar at the top of the screen.
- Select the Ask Sam button.
- The Ask Sam window opens, and you can start typing your question.
Ask a question
You can ask Ask Sam different types of questions. It can help you learn, find information, or even start a task.

| How-to questions | "How do I create an invoice?" | A short summary of the steps and a link to a relevant help article. |
| Data questions | "Show me all quotes for Pioneer Industries" | A list of matching records from your organization, with links to view each one. |
| Action questions | "Create a new job" | Starts the new job creation process for you to complete. |
💡 Tip: For the best results, ask one clear question at a time. For example, instead of "Find ACME's number and their latest invoice," ask "What is ACME's phone number?" first, then "Show me the latest invoice for ACME."
ℹ️ Good to know: Ask Sam uses an AI model, which means its answers are sometimes incomplete or incorrect. Always double-check critical information before acting on it.
Good to know
- Ask Sam is currently available in English only.
- It cannot perform complex, multi-step actions like creating and sending an invoice in a single command.
- Your conversation history is saved to help us improve the tool. These conversations are private and not visible to other staff members in your organization.
- Ask Sam will never perform a destructive action, like deleting a client or a job, based on your request.
