This guide shows you how to cancel your paid subscription. Canceling closes your organization at the end of your billing cycle and stops future payments.
Before you start
- You must be the Account Owner to cancel the subscription. Other staff members cannot see the option to cancel.
- To keep a record of your data, we recommend you export your data before you cancel.
Cancel your subscription
- Navigate to Settings → Billing.
- In the Your Plan section, find your current plan details.
- Click the Cancel Subscription link below your plan details.
- Follow the on-screen instructions. We may ask for feedback about why you are leaving.
- To complete the process, you must confirm the cancellation on the final screen.
⚠️ Heads up: Your cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You can continue to use AtomicSam until that date.
Choose between pausing or canceling
If you plan to return to AtomicSam soon, you can pause your subscription instead of canceling. This keeps your data and settings intact for a small monthly fee.
| Option | Monthly Cost | Data Access | Best for... |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pausing | $10 | Your data is stored securely. You can reactivate and access it instantly. | Taking a short break of 1-3 months. |
| Canceling | $0 | Your data is scheduled for deletion 90 days after your subscription ends. | You do not plan to use AtomicSam again. |
To pause your subscription, select Pause Subscription instead of Cancel Subscription in the Billing section.
Good to know
- Access after cancellation: After your subscription ends, your organization becomes read-only for 90 days. After 90 days, all of your data is permanently deleted from our servers.
- Refunds: We do not provide refunds or credits for partial subscription periods. Your final charge will occur on your last regular billing date.
- Reactivating your account: You can reverse your cancellation at any time before your subscription period ends. Go to Settings → Billing and click Undo Cancellation. After the period ends, you must start a new subscription.
- Annual plans: If you are on an annual plan, your subscription remains active until the end of your one-year term. It will not renew for the following year.
- Canceling a trial: If you are on a free trial, you do not need to do anything. Your trial will expire automatically, and you will not be charged.
