This guide shows you how to reset a forgotten password or change your current one. Following these steps helps you quickly and securely manage access to your AtomicSam organization.
Before you start
- To reset a forgotten password, you need access to the email address you use to log in to AtomicSam.
- To change your password while logged in, you need to know your current password.
Reset a forgotten password
If you cannot remember your password, you can request a reset link from the login screen.
- Go to the AtomicSam login page.
- Select the Forgot your password? link.
- Enter the email address associated with your AtomicSam organization.
- Select Send Reset Instructions.
- Check your inbox for an email with the subject "Reset your AtomicSam password".
⚠️ Heads up: The email can take a few minutes to arrive. If you do not see it, check your spam or junk folder.
- Open the email and select the password reset link inside.
- On the page that opens, enter your new password in the New Password field.
- Enter it again in the Confirm New Password field.
- Select Reset Password. You will be logged in to your organization.
Change your password from your profile
You can change your password at any time from your profile settings when you are already logged in.
- Select your avatar or initials in the top-right corner of the screen.
- Choose Profile Settings from the dropdown menu.
- Navigate to the Security tab.
- Under the Password section, find your password and select Change Password.
- Enter your existing password in the Current Password field.
- Enter your desired new password in the New Password field.
- Re-enter the new password in the Confirm New Password field.
- Select Save Changes to confirm.
💡 Tip: Use a password manager to generate and store strong, unique passwords. This makes it easier to keep your account secure without having to remember complex character strings.
Good to know
- Password reset links expire 24 hours after they are sent. If your link expires, you need to request a new one by following the steps again.
- Your new password must be at least 12 characters long.
- If your organization uses Single Sign-On (SSO) with a provider like Google or Microsoft, you manage your password through that service. You cannot reset or change it within AtomicSam.
What's next
- Set up two-factor authentication to add another layer of security to your login.
- Update your profile information, such as your name or email.
