    Setting Up Recurring Jobs

Automate job creation for regular client work

    Overview

For work that repeats on a regular schedule (monthly tax returns, quarterly reviews, annual audits), recurring jobs automate job creation so nothing falls through the cracks.

    Creating a Recurring Schedule

    1. Open the client you want to set up recurring work for.
    2. Navigate to the Recurring Jobs tab.
    3. Click Add Recurring Job.
    4. Select a job template to use as the base.
    5. Set the frequency: weekly, monthly, quarterly, or annually.
    6. Configure the start date and optionally an end date.
    7. Set the lead time — how many days before the due date the job should be created.

    How It Works

    • Jobs are created automatically based on your schedule
    • Each generated job uses the template's tasks and costs
    • Job names include the period (e.g., "Monthly Accounts - March 2026")
    • Assignments carry over from the template
⚠️ Warning: If the job template is deleted, recurring job generation will fail. Always keep templates that are referenced by active schedules.

    Managing Schedules

You can pause, edit, or delete recurring schedules at any time. Pausing prevents new jobs from being created but doesn't affect existing jobs.
