This guide shows you how to change your AtomicSam subscription plan. Keeping your plan aligned with your business needs helps you access the right features and manage your costs.
Before you start
To change your organization's subscription plan, you need the correct permissions.
- You must be the Account Owner or have Billing permissions for your organization.
Change your plan
You can change your plan at any time from your billing settings. The process is the same whether you are upgrading to a higher tier or downgrading to a lower one. The primary difference is how the change affects your billing.
- Navigate to Settings → Billing.
- In the Subscription section, find your current plan name (e.g.,
Pro). - Click the Change Plan button.
- You will see a list of available plans:
Core,Pro, andUltra. Your current plan is highlighted. - Click Select Plan for the plan you want to switch to.
- Review the changes on the confirmation screen. It will show the new monthly or yearly cost.
- Click Confirm Change to complete the process.
💡 Tip: Before changing your plan, you can compare features on our public pricing page. This helps you understand what you will gain by upgrading or lose by downgrading.
⚠️ Heads up: When you downgrade, you immediately lose access to features that are not included in your new plan. For example, if you downgrade from the
Ultraplan, you will lose access to advanced reporting features.
Good to know
Here are some things to keep in mind when changing your subscription.
- Prorated charges: When you upgrade, we charge you a prorated amount for the remainder of your current billing cycle. This gives you immediate access to the new features.
- Billing cycle for downgrades: When you downgrade, the change takes effect immediately, but your billing is adjusted at the start of your next billing cycle. You will not receive a prorated credit.
- Annual vs. monthly billing: You can switch between monthly and annual billing on the plan selection screen. Choosing annual billing often provides a discount.
- Plan limits: If your account exceeds the limits of a plan you want to downgrade to (for example, you have 15 staff members but the
Coreplan only allows 5), you must reduce your usage first. You will see a notification telling you what needs to change before you can downgrade. - Data from retired features: If you downgrade and lose access to a feature, any data you created with that feature is preserved. If you upgrade again in the future, that data will be available to you.
